I've just bought an '04' RX-1 mountain,It has the stock shocks up front with the 41 inch wide cro-mo A-arms,the front suspension is way soft,I've tightened the spring preload to the max but the front shocks are still bottoming out all the time. Are there some heavier duty springs that I can swap onto the stock shocks?Or will I have to go with complete aftermarket shocks?I would like to be able to hit a jump or two on this thing without folding the A arms in two.My last sled was a 144 tracked SRX,so I'm not sure what to expect from this RX-1
Thanks in advance .....for any info, great site by the way.

I'm not sure if the '04 sleds still have the progressive rate spring or not but here are the three springs listed for the '03 RX-1mtn. These are however for the 39.5" wide ski stance which is stock for the mtn sleds. I'm not sure if your 41" needed different shocks for the wider A-arms or not.

If you know which aftermarket A-arms you have; your best bet might be to contact them. If you don't know who's arms you have try to post a picture of them and we can hopefully get the info on who's kit it is.

The A-arms are from mountain performance,I think the shocks are stock.I've read about the 'pioneer' 2.3 springs....would that be something to try?
