Ok back to the ski s, these are tunner 3 s now lol my dealer said there come ing with 4s length for both . I will be running studs ( 144 down the middle) on the 137 le red and white. Got stealth 4 th wheel kit osp belt tool skid plate hand guards taller windshield spare belt. Now my question is carbides???
Or snow trackers on the tunner 3 ??
I had tunners 2 on my apex 2/4 carbides and hatted them, put them reversed on my phazer and they are awesome. Kept the 6 shaper bars and dart less on apex (which is a poor mans snow tracker ) and they work for me.
Hate darting.
I'd go with the Shapers again but am also a fan of the Magnums......I've heard great things about the snowtrackers from knapp....but whatever you do don't get the triple points they are a joke......they only work well for people with prestudded tracks as their traction is less then stellar so they are a good match as TP wear better than they work..

Tuner 3's are the same as the 2's but with removable loops. I never had even the slightest bit of darting with the 2's on my viper with the stock junk they come with or with the triple points. The problem I and many others did have was major push in soft snow. If you don't ride twisty trails with soft snow you should have no issue with the tuners. If you poke around the viper section you will find a ton of posts talking about ski/carbide options

SJ, your running 192 studs. Whose & why?
Ive ran most every stud out there...currently Ive been running INS Stingers... 192...a carbide lake racer stud..pointier for better lake runs off the trail..god track mat capture due to shorter shoulder...
.for a more rugged stud...snow studs warthogs...cant hurt them...
I do have something different I might try..we'll see..

At least you're open minded. I may have to make a midwest trip next year to ride with some of you Mi & Wi boys. You, Mr. Cannon, Mr. Sled, Mr. Mighty to name a few. The UP has always been on my bucket list. I could swing around & pester you for a 400 mile day. They compare me to Hummingbird on crack so drink plenty of coffee. LOL
oh no....that sounds like the old me ...many moons ago...now..you crack off the first couple hundred and swing back and get me...A 250 day is all this vegan can muster now lol

I may have to make a tour of all the TTY guys over 4,000 posts. I can start in Maine & buy The Beast coffee. Then up to Canada to buy Grimm a beer. Swing down to Michigan for a Mighty ride & bring Sj some bacon. To Wisconsin to drive Cannon & NOS crazy & give Mr. Sled a hug. Over to Minnesota & give the Dog a run on the OCD express. Back up to Canada for a beer with Bounty then back home. Gonna be a long weekend...Hey don't forget us Minnesota boys even though the longest run last year was 135 miles there are a few here with 400 mile day resumes

I have been using Quality Carbides, bought them from Rogers in Fort Kent Maine. https://www.qualipieces.com/en-US/t...rderBy:null&IsDescOrder:false&Index:0&Count:0Ok back to the ski s, these are tunner 3 s now lol my dealer said there come ing with 4s length for both . Powersports1 strongly recommended the snowtrackers on the tuner 3 ski and said it is one of the best setups on their vipers, so that is what I'm going to start out running. Looks like they'll work great in almost all trail conditions. I have run snowtrackers for the last 5 plus years now on my apex and absolutely love them.

I've gone over many rail tracks and loaded/unloaded countless times without any issues, like I said I've been using them for years on my apex. Mind you those are also the aggressive ones on Apex mountain skis, so they hang down the most out of any snowtracker setup. Should be fine on the tuners.
