Bulldog, the trails are getting beat up due to lack of snow again all over the world. The trails south and west of hurley weren't too bad and from wakefield to gogebic - Silver City not to bad.

Bulldog were pretty ripped up by Sunday, but with the new snow coming trails should shape up quick
Love it have stayed there almost every weekend from Dec 1st through mid March for 3 yrs. Food is best in the Hurley area. Gary the Owner is a bit course but we love him. He usually calls me 2-3 times a week to give me the skinny and never sucks me into comming if the trails are junk.

Oh I was there 3 times this weekend. Her sister works at the road house day shift as the bar tender. Yes she is a hoot, on Saturday night they set a 500 up on the rear deck 3 guys got on it and she sat ontop of them and they took photos, then they all did shots.

Been going there for 10 years. Its never dull in there. I liked the old bar set up better. Lots of history in that basement.
Got back on Sunday from a week of riding covering Watersmeet, Gogebic, Houghton, Iron River, Copper Harbor. Saw a Yamaha tent giving demo rides on the lake in Minnoqua as we were driving home Sunday...no time to stop and try 'em unfortunately.
Plenty of snow everywhere. Trails were good to excellent all over. Boondocking was acceptable, but another foot would have helped to float over stumps and rocks, but we only had a bit of minor damage so I can't complain. Started getting thin/icy corners around the WI/MI state line, but trails still rideable and forest roads were perfect.
Saturdays don't count...they're not a good reflection of normal trail conditions...and that's why you'll never find me on a groomed trail on a Saturday.
If you get away from the major popular towns and areas, AND stay off the trails on Saturdays, there's very good riding to be had all over the UP right now.

Yeah I liked the old set up better tooo! Ever catch Joanie passed out downstairs in the tanning bed? There were soooooo many drunk Kids there on Saturday night it scared me. I left between 2 groups that I have no idea how they made it home or if they did and they all looked about 18. I know that there is no min drinking age in WI but that only applies when the youth is accomanied by parent or gardian. I hope that everyone made it ok. We had one in our group that I forbade to drive - took his keys and went back for him with the truck and trailer. Guess I am just getting old and caucious.

Oh Yeah The new Mustang Sally's across the street had their grand opening on Saturday night. I did not get in I was too stoked by the first ride on the totally new 03 RX-1 setup, suspension, pipe sound and ride comfort I headed out and stayed out till 3 AM.

Yeah there are alot of younger guys at the bars everywhere up there on weekends. Just have to wait till they all go to Hurley to the strip bars

190 miles only, I should have left it on the showroom floor. We are trying to make plans for Hayward the week of Feb 5th, the way it's going thank god they have a trail marked bar stool.
