I own a 2008 VK Professional, for the first time trying to start my VK this year, my battery was totally dead, so i charged it and the machine will run until the battery runs out. I have changed the voltage regulater and still the same results. My battery fails and once again the machine shuts off.
If anyone has expereinced this with their sled please let me know what the solution was to fix it.

My first vk pro (an 06) had a problem similar to this and it was to do with the voltage regulator. I now have an 08 and and haven't had this problem but what I do now is every month or so I disconnect the two plugs on the voltage regulator and put some electrical grease on them and put them back together. My dealer told me there is an update for this problem.
I would have this checked out first because I know a couple of guys who experienced this problem as well and it was the voltage regulator or the plug-ins to the voltage regulator.
Hope this helps
