Noisy Clutches

Re: rattle

Have the heelclicker 2 speeds and no rattle..its from the extra force the weights generate even at idle I believe..

Makes sense. After installing the Drag n Flys, I started it on the sledlift...the track starting spinning at idle. That never happened with the stock weights.

Normal for the 3 banger clutches to sound like a bag of marbles...

So can I ask this? Has anyone changed their clutching and had the rattling, vibrating and bag of marbles noise go away?
Mine gets noisier under power.....It's driving me nuts...............

Thanks...

This is the fix that Yamaha did to the clutches, they are on all the newer clutches. Unfortunately the o-ring that you see is the pic eventually becomes ineffective. You could replace it, and it really does help with the noise, but it's a pain in the buttocks to do. Taking the spider off the clutch requires special tools and sweat. My fix is to leave it alone and rev the engine, the noise goes away when I'm screaming in my helmet going down the trail.
