I had to post some pics of yesterday's ride. (video to come) I was able to take some clients and their wives for a 108 mile run North of Park Rapids, MN. This area is known for Itasca State Park and the Headwaters of the Mississippi river. For those of us from the region, we avoid the park due to the traffic and burn up the rest of the trails.
We rolled into our drop site to find the groomer parked and miles of groomed, setup, table-top trails for miles! The first 40+ miles were untracked! The snow was so deep, herds of deer were on the trails to get out of the woods!
We put on 108 miles, had a a great time, and even ripped up one untracked field with chest deep powder. That is not unheard of, but very uncommon for the second half of March in Minnesota!
