Nyrto float plate

I would say yes. A float plate obviously has more surface area but creates a host of new problems. Plus they look ugly as sin. Who wants something that looks like a toboggan or crazy carpet strapped to the front of their sled? How many mountain sleds do you see running float plates? Not many, that's a fact. They were experimented with but most have been removed. If you're looking for more flotation you should be upgrading the skis.

HAHA a toboggan!!! The "Roest" skidplate held up against a rock on the trail in the U.P. Still amazed at the fit n finish of this thing!!!! :drink:
