Search the Nytro FAQ...it is covered really well, even with pictures there.

Yes very common problem. In the last week we had the same problems with an 09 XTX, 10 XTX, and 10 Apex LTX.

yep had it happen to me at cooke the other week. i purchased 3 new relays and will reinstall a new one with dielectric grease. I will keep the 2 spares in my back inside warm in case I have to swap it out when it doesnt work.

dielectric grease works wonders ... I use it on all electrical connections on the sleds and definitely worth the time to pull each and every connection and coat with an electrical sealant ....its amazing how much damage a little road salt + moisture can do ... picked up a couple of lightly used sleds (less than 700 km) that had been either open trailered or hauled in the back of a PU with the factory covers on .... when I pulled the plastics to grease the connections it was amazing how many connections had been compromised.

There are updated replacement relays you can purchase. Make sure you get the new ones as per the September 2010 service update from Yamaha. They looked to be sealed much better and can be removed in the field without tools compared to the original ones. These relays were used on the 2011+ Yamahas.
