Does anyone know where to get one of these that will work on the FX nytro. I suspect my center to center is out on my clutches but I am not able to find a tool that looks like it will work. I bought the one pioneer has but the secondary hole on the tool is .100 too small. It also will not work on the offset the way it is designed because of the coolant housing right behind the primary. I was looking at the sled pro brand tool as it looks to be designed differently but they claim it only works for 95-05 sleds. Any help would be appreciated. I could make my own tool on my machines if someone had the proper center to center specifications.

That is the exact same one I have now and it doesn't work on the Nytro. The instructions for the tool on ulmer's site are identical to the instructions I received for my tool from pioneer, so I am assuming they are the same.

I bought one from Ulmer before Christmas, but I don't think it came with any instructions (if it did I lost them) and I'll be damned if I can figure out what I'm supposed to do with it.

I have the ulmer tool, I had to call and get advice on how to use it. You have to come up from the bottom to check the offset. I found it helps to remove the speedo sensor protector.
I also found on his tool that the center to center notch for the secondary is a little to small to fit over the shaft. For as fancy as the machine work is on the tools you think it would work better.
I have an old offset tool for my sxr from maximum performance and I just cut it down a little and it worked better than the tool from ulmer.

For the center to center on a FX Nytro on the Ulmer Racing clutch alignment tool you have to use the hole and then the "notch" that is setup for that hole (that notch is large enough for the FX Nytro jackshaft). The other notch is setup for the SRX/Viper/Vmax/Apex/Vector, etc style chassis.

Well they must have sent me the wrong tool, because the notch on my tool fits perfectly on the primary, but not on the jack shaft.

The secondary shaft on the FX Nytro is larger diameter, so you must remove the primary clutch and use the bolt and hole and then use the other notch that is on the tool that will fit onto the jackshaft.
We only offer one alignment tool and it will work on SX, SRX, Vmax, Apex, RX-1, FX Nytro, and Vector models (will not work on 2-stroke models with electric start or any Phazer model).

Ah, okay. So if I were to scribe a mark, 10.57" from the centre of the notch that fits over the clutch shaft, I'd be able to check centre to centre distance without removing the primary?
