Went out last weekend and had to walk my sled to the pump...its was that empty. 96 miles or 153k and took 28.2L. Average speed was 80mph. I thought that was damn good.
The 600 etec w/ 190p rider took 1 litre more than me; and I'm 300+.
That 1.75 Track will really cut into the mileage. My mtx was only good for 80miles of hard trail riding.

As for the cat turbo 1100 there pure pigs on fuel .. I cant comment the 1200 havent drove with anyone that has one ..

With this awful winter in MN I have been able to only get 170 miles on my 2012 xtx. I got 13 mpg so far riding break in miles on lakes with hard pack to maybe 6 inches of snow in places. I am hoping that someday when it is broken in I get 16 - 17 mpg on relaxed trail rides. I will be happy with 10 mpg riding it like a red-headed step child.

That's my experience as well. A friend with a 600 Renegade can get clost to 200 miles on a tank, and every time we'd stop for fuel I'd take 50% more gas than he would. The ETEC's are the real deal when it comes to gas mileage.

Maybe the 600s but the 800s are really no better than the carbed 800...My Nytro RTX consistanly beat a new 800 Etech by a buck per fill up.
It's funny that my old 99 SRX actually got better fuel mileage that most of the new stuff today.

My Viper always got great fuel milage. i think those sleds were a lot more aerodynamic than a nytro. When i put a real windshield on my gas milage got better too with the wind going over and around me now.

I should state that the etec used more but still had lots left, thanks to that 40 litre tank. Yamaha should really put a factory 40l tank on.
I worked it out...14 mpg...not bad for a big guy ridin hard.
I was blown away with the mileage that the turbo cats got...terrible for a 4stroke.

That's odd that cause i have a 800etec and everytime i fill up am usually 10 dollars cheaper than the 3 nytro i ride with and i fill up with supreme. Wish it could go 300km a tank but thats a fantasy . Are you sure your friends etec is broken in cause at first i got 149km and 100km a tank .shaddow44 said:NFLD-Nytro said:caper7 said:Well there must be something wrong with the 600 etec cause i know of guys with them getting close to 300km a tank .. 160km for a tank nytro is pretty well bang on i have ran out around the same myself .. pretty sure it was broken in, it had 300ish miles, didn't really care....from my experience the Etec 800 is not really that much better on gas then their carbed version..( which I find great on fuel and oil )...but either way I am always 25 cents to 1$ cheaper than either of those 800s.

Maybe someday we will ride together and will prove to you the difference .. With the extra 10 or 12 bucks get you a beer . haha Some of the carb versions are great till 6800 rpm then once your past that good bye mileage..
300 miles not broken in took me 600-700 range then fuel mileage went way up before that i thought i had a pig ..

I would get 110 miles (177 km) regularly on my '09 XTX with the standard tank before filling up. This year I put the TrailTank on, but no snow so I don't know the results! Haven't ridden a total of 200 miles yet this winter.
