good morning! My nytro starter went out at 7500 miles ...magnet broke....got new one from Yamaha...my machine has always always started flawlessly even down to 25 below.....when I pulled my starter, I had the machine raised on right side just to the tipping point to replace the starter......it sat like that for ten days while waiting for parts and me to put starter in......went to fire it yesterday and had a bit of a rough start but when it started it lost a cylinder for about two minutes I gave it a few shots on the throttle and it cleaned up and ran great I took it around the yard a few times only because I was pressed for time and parked in the driveway. Went to start it this morning and it would not fire it was definitely flooded, does anybody know if sitting on its left side at a pretty steep angle for 10 days would screw up something, Some kind of sensor somewhere, Maybe sitting in oil for 10 days or who knows or did I leave something un plugged?thank you

Check your air cleaner as you might have dumped oil from oil resevoir into air cleaner if it was on its left side.

Pete

I had the air box off the entire time .....never saw any oil....is there an air cleaner other than the air box? Perhaps an evap tube or crankcase vent that clogged up?

Hose on top of oil resevoir (tank) goes into air cleaner housing. If you had air box off throttle bodies then you would have had to disconnect that hose. If you only had top of air box off you need to pull screen filter and hose is underneath that. Check for oil there

replace the spark plugs and see what it does.

Thank you for all the suggestions .......new plugs tomorrow......does the tank have to come off?.....I imagine so

FeeLGooD is correct. Take off the side panels and you should be able to see the plugs from the sides right in front of the tank. Good luck though, it's a tight squeeze.
