Well I did some more grass dragging today. First I sucked about 750ml out of the radiator and mixed in some deionized water and the recommended amount of water wetter and pulled 5 KMs around the yard. NO MORE OVERHEAT light!! Confirmed the fan was working and all was well. Temps were a little colder than last week, maybe 5 or 6 degrees C today. Manual also states it is the coolant temp sensor that will shut the sled down. I must admit I was worried when I read that there was only ONE heat exchanger on this machine. But lucky for me yamaha added them there vents in front of my knees to dump all that HOT air out from under the hood and onto my feet. Maybe now I'll only have to wear one pair of socks instead of two. Turky - I'm just kidding, no need to get ignorant again.

RESPECT - It's a hard thing to earn and an easy thing to lose. Unfortunately I lost ALL respect for you with your first response to my post. Please don't ever threaten me again and if you don't reply to any of my future questions or comments, I honestly couldn't care less. Also, if you READ my posts again, you'll notice I never called you turkey. I called you turky. big difference.

did u have the red or yellow light come on. i had the yellow come on the hazer the other day after letting it idle for 15 mins and riding around for a while. also ive noticed the red light will stay on at start up until the motor is up to temp. as for the coolant ratio im pretty sure its the same reason why carbed sleds are jetted rich. would rather have a 5 year old sled start at -20 then not and also have a 5 year old sled with the original coolant in it not freeze the lines the freeze and crack the block. ive always run straight coolant with non or very little watter with no problem over heating. id rather not take the chance of the coolant breakin down and have the water freeze. as for over heating at 50+ temps that is expected. now if it was 20 out and u were over heating that would be a problem. but until then i wouldnt worry about it or bring it up. as for the phazers over heating it was because of a ice cave forming around the heat exchanger an not allowing snow to make it to the exchanger( the reason a fan was added to the 08s) not the coolant ratio. also i feel ur response to turk was a little disrespective hes been on this side and the 2 stroke side and ive never seen him be anything but helpful to any one whos asked for his help and ive been a member for 2 years and been on here pretty much every day even in mid july for god sakes its my home page.

I am not going to deny that you have been one of the GREATEST assets this site and the 2 stroke side have ever had. I am not going to deny I've PM'd you several times asking for help setting up my other sled. What I don't get is, why did you have to be such a prick when I wasn't asking for help, rather I was just commenting on the F*&%ing coolant ratio, and you make a personal attack on me. If it's too much, then take a break. Apparently you need it.

How about we put this thread on hold until there is actually a problem while riding on the snow in the winter. I am not saying I am nervous about it overheating, but let it fail in an enviornment that it was designed to be in before we get crazy.
