Nytro owners with bent front ends only!!!

3000 mountain miles on a Phazer MTX and 2500 mountain miles on a FXNytro MTX. No issues on either. Everything is straight to this point. I would be interested to know what build dates and serial numbers are having issues, or if it is hit or miss. No pun intended......

At 700 miles all ball joints were very loose and the right shock was noticeably closer to the rear of the lower a-arm than the left shock was. By 1500 miles the right spindle was basically straight up and down, and the spring was rubbing the rear of the lower a-arm. Arms look fine and the sled never hit anything so I am assuming tweaked subframe...

Have not had it to a dealer yet, waiting to see if an update comes out... The sled has 1700 miles on it now.

Not sure if they should be exactly centered, I know my "good" side (left) is not, but they should be the same from side to side... My right side has consistantly gotten worse to the point that the spring is rubbing the lower arm. The handling has also become much more "twitchy", it now requires a lot of attention to ride...

Right skii was 3" ahead of left skii in february. In April they were even again so I guess mine fixed itself.
Ditto, my ski tip difference went from 3" to even and back again about 3 or 4 different times. Ball joints are shot and on the last ride of the year even with the 2.5mm upper mod the sled was unsafe to ride past 60 mph IMO.
Unless Yami does come out with a free or really cheap upgrade I will be just warranting mine and selling this fall. Im 100% confident I didnt hit anything with mine and my dealer supports me but Im holding out for a real fix first.

"with bent front ends only" Whats so confusing about that?

I HAD A BOLT FALL OUT OF THE SPINDLE. FRONT END SPREAD AND TOOK A DIVE IN POWDER. BENT TIE ROD END, LOWER A ARM, FOX SHOCK AND SUB FRAME $1,981.00

worn ball joints ,upper arms loose and bent frame, I will be buying a jag turbo for next years long haul trail sled, my nytro will be sold or kept to ride around my house, warranty as usual has beendeleted for me because I turboed another new one, funny part the district rep as soon as I buy a new sled automatic has my warranty void on speculation that I will modify it. I think cat needs to drop that 1000 suzuke in the f chassis and then we would have another great ption.

25 sleds on here alone already and counting. And we only represent a small % of the population that knows what is acutally going on with these sleds. Yamaha maybe you should watch this thread.

26.

Warn ball joints (replaced), bent front sub frame, only minor, but bent as both sides are different (Told I must have hit something - I didn't).

What else?
Leaking fox float (replaced), grooved primary clutch (not replaced told it was normal).

Fitting on shock end of hose from reservoir to front skid shock backed out. Fitting bounced around for long time as I was on a groomed trail and didn't notice. Shock destroyed, wheel destroyed, shaft shock mounts to destroyed, rail destroyed, track chewed up. Other misc parts. All replaced under warranty.

Straps holding exhaust on header lost their hold, had to be replaced along with gaskets/donuts.

My right spindle is more upright than the left- shock is no longer in the middle on that side. It wasn't like that when I got it & I have not hit anything. Dealer says wait & see what happens from Yamaha next fall.
I talked to some of the Yamaha reps at the 09 show & asked about it, one rep said it was the first one he's heard of. When I told them there was 6 other ones at the dealer right now waiting for repairs - another Yamaha guy then admitted "yea I heard about that, we're trying to determine if they're all the same production run". I know they fixed one of them (friend of mine's), but haven't heard anything on the others.

After 200 Kms, throttle side was bent back; A Arms looks fine so I assume it is Sub Frame. Both Ball joints Replaced at 800 Kms, completely gone. My Dealer told me at the Dealer meeting they had in Newfoundland in March (I think it was March) the Rep spoke about the Sub Frame and ball joints problem. Posted pic's for the dealers to look at so they knew what to look for. But no mention of a fix for either problem.
Dealer replaced my Ball Joints under Warranty, no fix for the Sub Frame yet.

85 kms right side bent, did subframe x-frame as done on race sleds still moved back then installed gussets, still moves.. if you drive across pavement to put gas in moves back and then when you reverse moves fwd.getting 09 summit.
