I have used the Skinz seat during almost 5000 kilometers (on my -09 RTX SE 136"), but I have not been sitting on it during one single meter or one single second (I am a 100% stand up rider). Still, I like it a lot. It is a massive weight reduction compared to the standard seat, I like the looks and the layout of my latest exhaust would be more or less impossible without it.nytro-king said:do you like the seat?. vurderer et selv=)
The shock absorber concept itself will be no more exciting than the old, boring 36PRC. But in the case of this sled, the key point is weight. Because of this I had a long and deep look into some old scrap boxes. I think the involvement of magnesium cylinder heads, titanium piston rods and finally titanium coil springs should put the weight numbers way below the OEM Floats...Now all I need is to find the time to put them together (the parts are all there in my workshop).bjowett said:Springless?

Sick sled Alatalo! I just finished up my seat install yesterday and was checking out what others did, found yours and mine are very similar. Our seat style differs though, I thought they sent me the wrong seat at first, but it all lines up and fits.

Is that the seat from Skinz undertunnel exhaust kit...?gomer said:Our seat style differs though, I thought they sent me the wrong seat at first, but it all lines up and fits.
Or, maybe all of the Skinz seat frames look like that by now...?
The one I have got is one of their first prototypes from last fall.

Well after months of working on my sled it is finally done (other than then Ulmer clutch kit going in tonight)
Just a list of the updates:
- Ulmer Intake, Stage 2 clutch kit & PC 3
- Excell header, Barker can and custom made tunnel block off
- OFT relocate and RSI bars
- Polaris idler wheels and polished rails/tunnel
- body mods including white seat cover, yammie belly pan, drilled out steering housing cover (venting) and prefilters
- My first try at making a custom sled wrap
(many thanks to Robb at Blown Concepts for printing them up).
I just wanted to say "thank you" to the vendors and fellow ty members for your help and knowledge. When i started this i had a girlfriend... I think she's still around somewhere!
Here are a few pix.
Kope Out.

That's what I was wondering also. They had me pretty worked up for a few minutes at first. The directions have pics of both styles so I figured it had to work, and it did.
