Anyone know how to lower the idle on the nytros. I put a new engine and throttle body in an 09 nytro. Engine fired right up. Runs good and sounds good but the idle is high. 2500 rmp. There are absolutely no codes being shown. I have proper throttle cable free play. The throttle body has not been synced. But I don't know if that can raise rpm by 1000. Any thoughts. I am planning on syncing but I need the proper tool.
Might be dumb question but have you tried to adjust the idle?
There is an adjustment screw near where the cable attaches.

Ya. I have tried it. The looser it gets the higher the idle goes. I have the screw tight. As tight as it can be. I am going to check the rubber boots that connect the throttle body to the engine and make sure they are sealed well.

Have you let the engine get warm?
It´s 2000-2500 when cold!

First start today when cold was 2300 rpm.
Warm around 1600.

Yes. When warm it runs at 2550 - 2650. The only things I can think of are a vacume leak and throttle body sync. I think I am just gonna bite the bullet and have the dealership sync the throttle body. Unless the tool is cheap.
