Ordered an INTENSE track for the new SE and knowing that this sled isn't set up for a 1.5 " track, I have a few concerns.
- I am thinking I will have a ratcheting problem and feel that it needs anti-ratchet drivers? Heard different stories on this.
-Wondering about a gearing change to accommodate the bigger track.
- Clutching issues?
I don't want to sacrifice any bottom end with this change and would like to keep the top also. Any gains are welcome. Thanks.

Re: NYTRO SE SET-UP
You're going to have to pick one or the other when you decide your going to start changing stuff. Unless you choose more HP
anit ratchet drivers are always a plus. If you go through the forum and read you will see that when going to a bigger track there is a greater chance for them to slip. They are already geared fairly low so that wont be an issue with the bigger track. Probably just have to mess with clutching to get the full advantage of the bigger track. You're going to lose mph with a bigger track anyways.

Dont worry about the gearing, my 08 was pefectly able to pull my 1,75" track with stock gearing.

Did you have any issues with ratcheting?

I have the 1.5 intense, and as long as you keep your track within spec, ratcheting is minimal. If I have mine on the loose end of spec, I get a little ratcheting if I hammer down from a stand still or incline, but when she is on the tight end of spec, I generally have no issues.
You won't need to change gearing or install the anti-ratchet drivers (although if you have the means then go for it). The anti-ratchets would allow you to run a little looser and save your sliders. This machine eats sliders unless you run in loose snow all the time. I'm on my second set already and I have under 1200 miles. The cheapest solution is to add the intense and a marginal snow kit. But, since you'll have the drivers out to put the new track in, maybe it wouldn't hurt to throw the anti ratchets on.
Honestly, I am a huge believer that most Yamaha sleds are under-tracked from the factory. This sled loves the 1.5. Watch your front end flotation. More grip on the back makes the front end sink more. Throw some wider skis on. The pilots are much nicer and provide more precision handling, but don't really help much in the soft snow.

NLVmax I have the same track as yourself and Goddo. I agree 100% with what Goddo said about the front end flotation and the deeper lug track. Since I put a set of Sly Dog Powder hounds on my sled it improved the off trail flotation 10 fold. I really fell that wider skis are a must for this sled if you want to ride off trail.

I installed antiratchets at the same time as the track. I defenetly think you should do it too. Cant find any reason not to do it exept the cost for installation.

I think I will go for the drivers.
I want zero ratcheting so I can run my track somewhat loose to save slides and gain speed and power. .

Looking for opinions on what to order and should I use 9 teeth or 10 teeth assuming a 252 pitch. Also, wondering size of the Hex shaft Bore?
Thanks

$200 a set? Are they easy to install on a new sled?

You have to take the drive axle out and then find someone with a press to take the old drivers off and put the new ones on.....

Back when I installed Ski-doo Rev extroverts on my '02 Zx440 in '03 they were pretty cheap, about $120 for the set if I remember. I know it was less than $200 all together to have them pressed on (by the same dealer). Bad thing was I had to shorten the tips of my rails since they would hit on the drivers. By far the biggest PITA. I think Yamaha extros drive from the side of the existing drivers to avoid the clearance issues.
