It is the same modification as the Rage. I also did it to my Rage. Here is a link to that: http://www.ty4stroke.com/viewtopic.php?t=13894
The seat is about 4 inches taller and a lot firmer. You will also have to raise the bars because the will hit your legs if you dont.

Judge,
how much did you end up raising your bars? 2" or so? Can you still see your gages?

Even with the stock seat my knees would hit the bars on my Warrior on occasion. With a higher seat and stock bar height my knees would be knocking all the time.

Right now I am about 2 1/2". I have a 4" riser coming. I have the deluxe bar bag on the bars so I still cant see the gauges, that may change because I now have the trunk in the seat to use. The trunk is one of the biggest reasons for the change.

No, not really. Just 6' tall with short legs. I just dot like to push the bars from the waist. The sled turns much easier when you turn from the shoulders not the arms. With the bars down, you will hit your legs, or at least I did, when you turn the bars to the lock.

I rode DaJudge's sled when we were in Munising. Didn't take me long to make a decision, so I will be doing my 05 RX1.

Terry, make sure you get the right part #. Yamaha has them all bunched up and they can be confusing. I used the 8GF-24710-10-00 seat. It is also the same seat that 4fighter used on his RX1.

I know. I put almost 2000 miles on my stock Rage seat. You just cant imagine the difference between the two seats unless you ride the sled with both seats.
