09 rtx Bought sled 2 weeks ago with 840 miles rode in 2 times mainly smooth northern MI trails (400 miles) and I went down a orv trail that was whooped out and heard some banging and my sled felt like it had no suspension well the lower shock bolt was in and tight but not connected to anything and it had rubbed on rail connecting bar. who ever had it apart didnt put bolt thru both brackets and it broke....Would it be ok to run for a weekend till new shock is bought? i got another bracket so it will be bolted the right way now. still works not blown yet. Anyone have one in central/lower eastern MI? Thanks

I would say fix the bracket and then ride. Just weld and drill. If your up in Gaylord stop by C&S Enterprise and see if they can get it welded. Chris knows a good welder up there. He just welded my buddies Poo heat exchanger. C&S is just up the rode from extreme dealer. They sell used parts. Probably nothing for our nytros. I thought I saw OPR had a used skid for sell. They are out of Jackson.

I am in MN but have a couple extra rear RTX shocks. PM me if you want one- $200 its a take off and has not been ridden.

I say run it if it's mounted correctly now as long as it's not worn through. It may last a weekend or it may last forever. I have seen this many times rebuilding shocks over the years.
