Soo, the first time it happened was after plowing some fairly deep powder for an hour or so. Made it back to the trail, and wanted to back-up to clear some cat-tails from the A-arms. I assumed it may be frozen, so we booked er down the trail for lunch.. Tested it again, and had no issues shifting. Last night i went to unload from the trailer, and she was solid as can be! I am assuming it is ice again, but why didn't i have issues the first 2600km's last year? Dealership changed track/drivers this winter, so the chaincase has been apart. I guess once i get it off the trailer, i'll give er a good melt, and see what happens.. Just seems odd i've never had an issue before.

What's not moving? I've had some trouble with the lever sticking, and not letting me pull it back. Sprayed a good amount of lube on it and fixed that problem.
It will also occassionally be hard to shift into reverse, that is, I can pull the lever back, but not move it down. That requires rocking the sled a little.

Handle was completely solid, could not pull back at all. I've definitely had the occasional trouble where rocking the sled helps.

I have also experienced this exact problem.
Adjust the arm going from the reverse handle to the chaincase so its up to spec, and use spray grease to lubricate the moving parts and spring.
It will be good as new.

Once i get her inside, i'll let you guys know what i find! Appreciate the quick feed-back. If we had snow within 4 hours it would be verrrrrrrry annoying, but, i think i have time to remedy the situation uggggh.

X2 - i believe you want to lengthen the effective rod length.

If they chain tension is too tight it can cause this as well. I had mine to tight and it did the same. Finger tight, then a 1/4 turn back. (I wasn't doing the 1/4 turn back)

It might have to do with my 19/39 gearing but if my chain is tight, it won't go into reverse. I loosen it up to factory specs and works fine.
