i still can't believe none of these sleds posted a faster time then the 01 srx, which i believe was 12.02(not sure though). it still gives me a smile knowing that 4 years later , my srx can still hold a candle to the newer sleds

You can't really compare two different years to one another because of the different conditions each year. I believe when the SRX ran that time there was good snow down on the track, this year it was sloppy and not much snow at all.
True, but Goldberg is right, the SRX still hauls the mail with the best of them. My uncles regularly radars 126 on ice with nothing more than good prep, a minor headshave and some ice chisels. Mine used to put the speedo in the mid 120s regularly. I've had three sleds since my 00 SRX, but always thought that motor was the sweetest motor ever made for the snow, but the RX1 motor has now taken that honor.

i understand conditions change from year to year,it just amazes me that yamahadidn't improve on that sled as well bringing in the rx1.how many of us would have bought a 170 hp triple/triple 800 from yamaha? I PROBABLY WOULD HAVE! but now that i have an rx1 it's hard to say that...
