OFT relocator installation help - Step 9 in directions

Going to be installing the OFT relocator this weekend, and was looking through the instructions from OFTs website. Step 9 looks to be the only 'tricky' part. do you cut away the upper bearing retainer assembly and NOT use it again? Anyone care to explain what you did, or what to do?
 

I think you are talking about a little metal hook to hold the wiring.
You can remove it... it has to be removed or it will hit the relocator.

I just left mine out and replaced it with nut, bolts and washers.

I cut mine off. Took a few minutes with the hack saw and then a file to take off the edges.

I think I read that someone on here just bent it out of the way.

And you do not have to re-install it then correct? thank you for information!
 
Relocator

When I installed mine I just cut the hook off there is no need for it.

No you dont re install it you rerout the cables and wires ......good luck ...
