Ted made it up this weekend both days. Saturday he spent tuning and testing a new customers built sled. Said to make over 425HP. Had all the bells and whistles. This guy can build a sled!!!
Sunday we had a great showing with Ted on his infamous Red 03 RX1.
I've seen Ted's sled run for a number of years and it just keep getting faster. It's not that they're just fast, but extremely controlled. A true sign that the guy knows his stuff.
Towards the end of the day, he threw on a new primary clutch that came in at ???? (I'll let Ted expound on that). He made a pass that just made your hair stand up on end. Then he says, "want to take it for a ride"? My mind said yes, my body said you still have a few years to live so what are you thinking, and my thumb over rules all common sense, so I hopped on. After a brief instruction and warning, it was gas time.
WT$?..... That sled hits so hard you just can't describe it. All I know is by the 60' mark my pants were soiled and a wave of fear engulfed my entire body. Just hold on as tight as possible and ride it out!!
My hair is still on fire this morning.
Boys....if you want a quality build that will rock, see this guy.

Hey otis, I hope you make on the 9th at big moose. Ted has got some competion with burke's new turbo firecat. Sounds like a great day if weather holds up.

this is done a mild 23 pounds of boost theres more in her if needed I set this sled up to be 100 percent turn key and will run 4.90 all day...

We had a pretty big crowd here yesterday and didn't bring out the timers due to the Yahoo's that make passes from time to time. You know how much that system costs!!
I've been following your sled builds this year and they're very very impressive for sure.
I can't, and certainly would never, speak for Ted, but there's a big difference between a full body Yami and Cat chassis. Like about 300lbs!!
I won't get in the middle, so let's keep 2-9 on the radar screen.
There's enough room for 2 sheriff's in Yamiville.
Yami is afterall the heart of that Cat!! Yes?

Last Sunday, 20th, She went 1.25 60 ft. 5.20 at 700 lbs.
Yesterday 27th we didn't set up the timers too many people but I think I found my 1.1? 60 fts.
Still at 22 lbs. boost on the baby GT2560R turbo, OEM chassis and OEM stock 4000 mile motor.
Imagine what I can do with 100 more HP and 100 lb less weight

well maybe it is one thing here as OSP racing were always working on new faster quicker items for our customers... and nothing is stoping anyone building there own race sled we do set the pace..
oh ya.. BURKES sled is only about 350 hp... and weighs 450 .... and I just dont see any other 4.85 et as easy as you make it sound...if it was that easy everyone would be there and I have not heard of any others...
please let me know OK...... hope it goes that easy for you we work very hard to get it..

Hey guys I am new to this forum and have a few questions. It looks like you tubo guys have some fast sleds. If I wanted to play your game I was wondering how much is the entrance fee. What I mean is what does it cost to have a moderately fast turbo sled like Otis?

All this keyboard racin . Why dont you 2 build similar sleds and have at it. Actions speek louder than words. Maybe there is a new sherrif in town? To make it really interesting for the bigest portion of us you guys build stock body stock suspension and pump fuel sleds. Go at it and then the rest of us can measure your acheivements based on our own experiences. To me riding most of the day on trails and then racing to be king of the lake is very cool.Thats how we do it here in the east.Outlaw sleds are outlaws on our lake

Just my two cents, but I have never heard anyone boost themselves up like onestop jim. I by far am not even close to the same league as you or ted when it come to building sleds, but Damn. every post is about what you did, or how fast you are, or calling someone out. Your not even comparing apples to apples to teds sled. You got a chip on your should man
