1. How much oil does it hold. I drained the oil tank and the plug by the filter. Do I check the oil level with the stick screwed in or out. The dealer said in but the manual I thought said out.
2. Once I add oil to the tank is it safe to start or do I have to bleed anything?

3 quarts without filter change, 3 1/2 with filter change.
Check with dipstick not threaded in.
You do not need to bleed fire it up.

If you cahnged the oil without changing the filter - you can get by well with just 3 quarts - if it's a new oil filter you'll probably need a bit more.
Remember Yammi suggests changing the oil filter only every 15k miles after the first 500 mile service.

To read oil level, the dipstick is NOT screwed in.
As for all the specs, it's well marked in the manual, as well as the whole procedure.

I changed the oil last year and only put five hundred miles since last oil and filter change. The dealer said I did not have to change the filter.
Well there's 4 quarts in a gallon - so 3/4 gallon - how does that equate over to metric volumes??
