Oil filter location, how to get to it now?

There is no need to take the lower plastic off , plenty of room to get oil tank and chain case cover off as one ... Once you remove the muffler you have lots of room ....

I wouldn't call it plenty of room. Is it possible? Yup, but a PITA to see and get to a lot of the bolts.

Well if that works for you then great but all I'm saying is you don't have to take it off , just more work and take the risk of a rivit spinning and causing damage to plastic .... I do this every day and never taken it off...

But do what works for you .... Cheers!!!!

This was suppose to be about changing the oil filter? Why would anyone need to remove the chaincase and oil bag,to just drain and unscrew filter.

I did the exact same thing on mine. I had one of the chaincase bolts break when changing out the case oil. Only way to fix it was to take the lower plastic off. Since I was doing it, I went ahead and did the clutch side as well. I agree there was enough room to do oil changes without removing the lower plastic. But now that I can take all the plastics off (like my old Nytro), there is tons of room and it's a much less-messy of a job. I like it!

Because someone asked about draining the oil tank as well. I was just saying that because of other circumstances I made the side panel removable and now it's easy and mess free to drain the tank because you don't have to do it through the footwell.

Well we have to drain the oil bag anyways so we can do the filter next, you can get to the drain plug on the oil bag ok,or do you need to remove the footwell for the normal oil and filter change?
