I forgot to hook up the small hose on the air box that runs to the crankcase(I think) after I had air box off. I started sled and had a huge amount of oil leaking from sled. Would it be coming from this drain in air box?

i would say no ...not from air box , i think it would be a small amout from there
It very well could be on my 11 there is a sticker on the air box saying there is a potential for major engine damage if this hose is not hooked up. I just did mine yesterday and they could have made that hose another two inches longer its a PITA.

If you have a vector and start it without the airbox it will pump the oil out. make sure all the hoses are connected to the airbox.

The RS series sleds have an air/oil separator in the airbox. Leaving the return line off the bottom right of the airbox will cause massive oil loss.
yep....
And once you've seen how much is spitting out of that little hose, then you put an additionnal collar on it. At least the 2005 one, it had the simple pinch/twist type. Once in/out/in few times for maintenance, and maybe traces of oil on the connector, then you don't jiggle the airbox without risk of desaster. That's the reason why the later year got shipped with a longer hose.
Know.... you ask me why i know this....
