I've had good luck with yamabond. The key is making sure both surfaces are oil free and clean.

Yeah that was my thought process as well. Works good on crankcases. I ended up using permatex ultra black which is similar to yamabond 6b.I can’t see yamabond 4 working well. It’s too thin and kinda self levels. You wouldn’t be able to get a good bead and be able to let it tack up.

Bringing this back up today......
Im guessing that many of you guy who have not already found seeping oil tank seals, will find them seeping this fall. I think its inevitable that these all do it sooner or later. Mine did it even though I installed ROV delete within first hundred miles or so.
Sure we can re-seal them....but I have thought from the get-go that a new tank would be a great item for someone to build and would likely sell a boatload.
Been in contact with someone and will see where this goes, just early stage as of now but I think this might be a better solution in the end. When I know more Ill start a new thread.

Getting ready to head north and found mine leaking. Just picked up from dealer for Yamabond seal and free oil change on warranty.

Yes you are correct that would create some problems. How many kms on your sled I guess this is another thing to watch for. Look at your oil see if any metal in it ? What’s the other side look like plastic. I was looking at others and pictures on forum and look like yours as well.

Can’t believe someone hasn’t come out with an after market tank that is self contained. Upgraded my nytro s oil tank after the stock tank mount’s broke - jagged customs was the name of the company.
I had sent them an email about making one for the sr chassis with no response.......
Gotta believe it can be done. Take the same design from the nytro tank and change the mounting holes
Ms
