First of all, this last spring, I sent my stock rx1 block to Hurricane to get his sleeved and close decked 600hp block. About 1 week later ,I picked up my block right at his shop and got my engine reassembled and back to life.

Everything went okay until I found the coolant level kept dropping and quickly found that coolant was going strait into the oil pan and oil was all milky. So what a mess.....

I brought the complete engine to Hurricane for a complete dissasembly and inspection and he found that all 4 sleeves were leaking coolant strait into crankcase.

By then I was like... wtf.... anyway, Hurricane re-sleeved the block using another process and my engine was ready the next week. I re-installed it into the sled and fired her up... coolant was still going into crankcase and now I was pretty dissapointed about all this thing.

Dave offered me a full refund that time but also told me that he would try something new and would give me a brand new block instead of re-using my old block. I would sincerely not have accepted that deal if it were not for the fact Dave was really working hard to get my engine to run correctly and I decided to continue with him. He even came to my home garage to help troubleshoot and find what was wrong with that engine. We pinpointed a problem area in the head gasket as well as a solution for the sleeves and found a working solution after hours of head scratching together. That is the way I like it!!!!!!!!

At this moment my engine is up and running and all that remains is to re-assemble the sled back together and get her on dyno.

Hopefully this thing will just rip!

Hurricane (Dave) is a solid dude. He always makes time to answer any questions even if he is not making a sale. That means alot.

Guy's
I gota say that Molot30th took 10 years off my life.He likes to have things right and I have alot of respect for that.We worked together to get to the bottom of our problem and then we solved it and in the end Molot30th has a good engine and I have a new friend. It was mind bending but a good experience.

Good to hear it all ended well but I'm still trying to understand what happened. Did you end up using another block? Was it a block problem or a sleeve issue?

We don't really know for sure what exactly happened either. We found both the sleeves and the headgasket leaking air when we put air pressure in the coolant passage of the block.
I don't know why so much trouble with that engine but ,looking back on it,it made us smarter for the future. We now have a prevention process built into the blocks that we currently are doing to insure that we never have the same trouble again
