Can anyone recount exactly what was done for the Cold Start Update to the 07 and early build 08 Phazers?

If my memory recounts, it was a slightly softer series of valve springs in addition to an ECU re-flash.

Here's my issue. I want my old fuel mileage back and it just so happens that I have a stock 07 ECU on the shelf and I'm wondering if I can swap the new for old without any adverse effects.

Thahgts?

It was a new ECU and different springs for the DeComp.I would think you could put old ECU in and see if it affects gas mileage but it really shouldnt since they shouldnt have changed any fuel other than at startup. Are your rpms higher while riding?Even 2-3hundred makes a big difference for mpg.

I just got back from a ride and kept tabs on the RPM's and she's running the same range from idle to WOT but something is definitely amiss....

Lately I've been averaging less than 100 miles to a tank....

Usually my light comes on right about 100-110.I have a updated ECU and I tried it.Noticed no difference in starting but I didnt check mpg's.Let us know your results.

I'll make the change and hopefully get back out again one night this week. I'll keep you posted...
