i would say more south north bay is a pain to ride in and out of
I really like Haliburtan , great access to other areas aswell , but the wife and I will go almost anywhere

Last year we stayed at the Travelodge and the trail runs very close to it. Maim and his brothers were great hosts as they know the area and got us onto a variety of trails, lakes, some deep stuff- a good mix for everyone. I like Haliburton and Huntsville too but Irv does have a point, those areas tend to be busy on weekends. I think we will have a good weekend wherever we end up as long as mother nature cooperates.

I'll be in the area for our week long trip. Probably arrive on the Saturday in Cache Bay. We'll be doing a RAP tour during the week mixed in with some local. We (8-12 sleds) may be over to see the group on the Sunday if we come across the big lake in the AM.

Where do you guys think we should stay? Same place as last time?

From what I hear, anything along the lake is iffy to get in and out of town if there was not a recent snow fall and with a large group it may get sketchy crossing busy streets. It was a bit more expensive but it was easy to get in and out of with sleds/trucks and easy to find?

- Hey Irv, where would YOU suggest to go?

- I'd say NB would be perfect.
- They've done some awesome work there, and the only trails that will be beat up are the ones running into and out of town.
- That's only 5mins or so, then you're on great runs.

- The Travelodge in NB has a great restaraunt beside it that offers 10% off. (used to be a Don Cherry's)

- Trail wise you can go South towards Sundridge, North to QC and/or Temagami, and West towards Pembroke.

- It's all depending on snow too.
- Haliburton area will be sweet if the snow is there.

X2 on North Bay. Looking forward to getting back there someday soon! ;)!

The website has a 'group rate request' button. Hopefully we can get some solid numbers a little after Christmas and save some loonies.

Start in North Bay or Sudbury and ride NORTH....trails are super hwy's north of Sudbury...(Lake wannapitee and north...) anything south is tight and twisty with trafic
