I know a few are out there, wondering if anyone can share their experiences with it. Particularly ride quality / comfort. IMO the stock spring on the FX is extremely stiff and part of the reason for suspension breakages

I installed their spring but it wasn't a progressive spring-just lighter. I don't know where they source it from but it appeared to be very close to an old FX Nytro spring I had on the desk.
Does it work? I guess. Hard to say how much the spring along contributed to the ride as I had both skid shocks rebuilt and re valved. Everyone that rode the sled prior complained about the
harshness of the skid. After re valving and reassembly it was night and day. The sled actually moved with the contours of the trail instead of you bouncing off the seat!

Cool thanks. I had both my track shocks rebuilt/revalved last year, and I am no longer ejected off the seat, but any bumps at medium to high speed you really feel it harsh in the seat, if that makes sense. Might have to revalve the shock again, removing some of the high speed damping maybe? I was considering the Schmidt spring just cause I would not be without a shock for a week+ if I send it out. Thanks for the input

Not sure where ultimately your headed but an investment/investigation into Elkas perhaps. I've used them in my race buggies since 2004 with nothing but raving reviews!!! Just putting a thought out there for YA mike. I know there new to Yamaha. There is a sled for sale in winkler, phazer with elkas in the skid. May be worth an email to him. I may just do the same thing. Full Elkas are on my wish list and have been since the introduced to snowmobiles.

I had my shocks revalved by schmidt before the season with the softer center spring and i will say its like ridding a different sled now . How much the softer center spring helped i'm not sure but its not nearly as harsh as before .
