Looking to buy a new helmet for this coming season. I am interested in the Carbon Fiber C2 Helmet. Does anyone have one of these? If so how do you like it? Is it comfortable for long rides, warm, how well do the 509 goggles fit ect.
Also open to other options as well.
Thanks!

Rode 3/4 of last season with one. Like everything about it compared to the HJC's I've been wearing. With the Sinisters the fit keeps virtually all the wind out, but allows the goggles to breathe and not fog. It's WAY quieter at speed and has hardly any visor lift. And the REAL reason I love I, WEIGHT!!!! It's criminal how much lighter this thing feels at the end of the day. Really can't say ANYTHING bad about it.

I have these in stock, but have not had a chance to try one out yet, we just took on the 509 line this season, but if there is anything I can help you with, don't be afraid to ask.

i have a carbon fiber helmet from them... second season and last year we rode well below zero every time we went out. i also use the aviators with the helmet. a good hood is the key along with the breath box. i have no issues with my setup. the helmet is ridiculously light. i do know a few guys that have had a fog issue but it was more frost due to the extreme low temps. if you do sweat a lot they have in goggle fan you can purchase also. but like i said ive had no issues and would recommend this setup all day long.

Great to hear, thanks!
I found this balaclava to work the best for me, with this helmet, as far as fogging and warmth.

Was at a Yamaha dealer where they had the 509 C2 and HJC CL-X6 helmets. Tried on both. I found very little or no weight difference between the two so I decided not to spend the extra $$ on a lid that felt virtually the same as the one I already had.
I use a Unwind balaclava with a neoprene bikers face mask sewn to the front of it. Together with 509 goggles on a speed strap system it is the best combo I have found for my riding.

The C2 is the lightest helmet in the Snowmobile Industry. The Matte version in a large weighs 2.4 to 2.6 lbs (mfg variances) The only lighter helmet is the Motorfist Alpha helmet but it's not out yet (end of month). The key to the 509 system is the way the goggle face foam integrates with the 509 helmet cheek pads and eye port to form a seal. Of course varying facial structures will alter this fit but for most that is not a factor. All you have to do is put the goggle on the helmet and look at the seal from the inside to see what I am referring to. Other brands can also achieve this but none of them do so while giving you the wide angle view of the X5 or Aviator goggles.
The Klim Arctic balaclava works well but I prefer a No Fog mask with built in head sock over the Klim.. as it' just simply the warmer solution.
We won't talk about the C3 that's coming next year lol
