I am looking for options for a replacement rear shock to replace a damaged unit which will improve the deficient bottoming resistence of the stock model.

hi, it isn't the shock that is the problem-it is the valving. any adjustable resi shock will work well as long as you send it to a good suspension shop for a revalve. Call hygear, carver, or pioneer.
