Yep, I ordered the Hurricane/Hindle/PC5/Airbox mod today! I spoke with Dave and Elaine and they were great to deal with! I can't wait. Merry Christmas to me!!

Congrats, I'm liking the sound of that mod myself! May have to wait as my budget is shot this year! :die

Its not that loud at all...definitely no need to worry about getting a ticket. Dave made sure the exhaust was below the db range before he started selling Hindle to his customers

I agree with above, it's not that bad when the packing is good. I went through a few DNR stops in the UP last year when mine was blown out and I was good. When the packing is bad you will know, it gets loud then! Also do not use the DB insert, it will blow out the packing and ruin your muffler skin. Went through it last year, not worth the not noticeable reduction in noise.

Here is what mine sounds like. Exposed version without db reducer. It's much quieter then my 2-strokes with cans but still sounds great. Mine is about the same as most street bikes with aftermarket exhaust.

Nytro Hindle Exhaust

I am sure it won't be louder than my current MBRP race can slip on. That thing honked especially in the spring on the lake on a warm evening....

I don't ride groomed trails so noise is not an issue for me.

Oh and by the way, I spoke to Allen and ordered an Ulmer Clutch kit today. He is familiar with the Hurricane mapping and set up which is why I went with the Ulmer clutching.

my friend have a mbrp race slipon + header on his 2010 nytro xtx like mine.

sound is more agressive on mbrp.
hidle is loud only at WOT.

Well, I went for a good test ride on the lake late this afternoon. The lake has well over a foot of powder on it and I hammered on the throttle and I could feel it pull pretty hard. I was up to 9000rpm again in no time flat with the Ulmer kit. The exhaust is a little louder than I thought at wide open throttle which is fine by me. I could feel the horsepower ejecting out of the exhaust like a jet engine. The skis would come right out of the snow and just float lightly. Definitely killer compared to last year!
