Ortovox D3 Avalanche beacon - need opinions

Anyone who have this beacon, or know if it works good?

How is it compared to other beacons..?

Me and my riding buddy have finally agreed on getting beacons for this season..

The Ortovox D3 beacon is an excellent beacon. It was highly rated in the Canadian Ski Patrol testing last year.

Talked to a guy at a local sports shop, and we got a nice price on the BCA DTS beacons from him.
