If I would have stayed on I would have lost my left leg but maybe my shin/knee guards might have saved it. Anyways I got off and my helmet and my teckvest saved my a*^.

Now I ended up rebuilding the sled with a new rolling chassis. Got mine from a guy who insurance totaled it out but was cosmetic and they bought him a new chassis from a dealer. Ended up paying $1400 total with the chassis and some race department help in some parts.
You might be able to find one from some one with a blown engine or from a dealer (some do have rolling chassis becaues they sold the engine and electrical).

I still have parts to sell like engine frame side mounts, a whole rear skid (-shocks), jack shaft with reverse, ext.

I know.I have seen similar happen way back when extended a-arms on quads became popular. Was real common for the balljoints(VW Bus tierod ends) to break.Lot of good buddies made trips to hospital or maybe worse dont even remember the whole day! Most violent crashes I have ever seen when lower arm plows into the ground.Absolutely nothing anyone can do to save it at that point.Glad you didnt get hurt more seriously.

No worries on the vulture aspect. My buddy porkchop was after my shocks minutes after it happened. Repair shop said over 4k in parts and 1k in labor to repair. Insurance will probably total it out. I have 3k in accessory coverage so should make out ok on my aftermarket stuff.

Vultures?
Nah, just a crow looking for a better meal :tg:
But man I could've really used the UP Bushman kit!!!

So glad you weren't really messed up that day, sleds replaceable.
Worked out very good for ya'.... "luck of the Irish"

Can't complain... :) After the amount of people we had asking us if the guy who owned the sled was ok, and then being shocked as I stood there telling them it was mine... really drove home how lucky I'd gotten :)

So, anything for the vultures available? :jump:

Irish,

What did you decide to do with your Phazer?

The insurance co settled up with him.
Buy back wasn't an option (some form of BS on their end with a law & the shop??), they hauled it away- sucked too as I could've helped with "dismantling" a few parts...
UP Bushman kit had been on like only 2 weeks, Schmidt Bros. pipe a month?? Oh well.

He plopped a lumpy down payment on a new Yamacat Viper from Excell's.
Hopefully keeping it track side down this season ;)!
