over heats when cold but not when hot outside?

in -35 the snow is really hard and probably was not getting the heat exchanger. Ive had your exact same situation happen before. No snow on the heat exchangers will make it overheat

That's my guess. My friends Vector was overheating until he figured it out with the rock hard trails.

Dont guess. I know Im right lol. Since 03 when my dad had an rx-1 it was always an issue on rock hard trails.
Its nothing to worry about... other then your sliders getting cooked

Same as mine when I bought it. Buddy of mine told me to tip it on it's side, kick the chunk of ice off and good to go. Had to do it 3 times in -30 weather. All 3 times there was a big chunk of ice spaced about 1" off the exchanger. Stopping the snow, when riding, doing it's job.
Nothing in the warmer weather!!
