it's lookin a lot like summer on the east folks. Although the season is looking like it's over I couldn't be happier with my winder.
I know I know, what about the clutching. I've got this thing where I want it. Without a clutch kit. Early on I did blow two belts. After changing the rollers , shimming of helix and spring position change I've had great luck. Excellent trail sled coming from the viper I am verry happy.
2700 miles I can put the cover on it and put her too bed. Turn the key next winter.

I gotta agree. Sounds like you got some good seat time Joe. Despite bumps in the road and minor issues (without complete answers, but functional anyway), I really like the Sidewinder. Best ride, especially when it came to bumpy trails, I have had. Sneaky smooth power (and lots of it.) I still need to tweak the suspension a little to get a good balance for steering effort, but that will come with time. Next season's projects will be new skis and maybe a taller riser. Also, may just tweak clutch weights a tad for my liking.
On a side note, I got back on the Vector for a brief time during the last trip. Felt like I was sitting so low and knees were at my elbows. Funny thing is, I used to feel that ride was higher than the apex. Just awkward now. Sidewinder just seems much better for riding position.
