hi
have phazer mtx 2007

I am short (5'3'')
I try nytro mtx of my friend and i feel it too big for my short arm

It's very more easy to curve my phazer for me
So I need more power for taking speed before climb hill
and fallow my friend

have AAEM exhaust...

boondocker and intake mod can it help me?

or absolute need turbo kit at 5000$ and over?

The Phazer MTX feels lighter because the suspension is set up like a short track, with the skid being around 3" further forward than any of the other mountain sleds. This makes it lighter on the skies and easier to ride, but with a poor approach angle for powder riding.

I would buy a used Nytro XTX, it has the same stance as the Phazer MTX with more HP, it may be a better match to your riding style with something simple like a track swap.

You could also get an Nytro MTX, and move the skid forward with a shorter track.

As far as a turbo, you can do it, but as far as I know, nobody is getting Nytro horsepower out of a Phazer and still keeping it reliable.

I don't think being 5' 3" is a problem, if the bars are too far forward you can get tilt risers to tilt the bars back.

ok tanks I looking for longer track and if is not help a lot

I change for nytro mtx and modified it's for my lenght

maybe phazer mtx problem is more track attack angle than the engine power

Did you change out for lower compression pistons?

$4500!? Ouch! That is more than I paid for my sled! [/quote]

I didn't use low comp pistons I ride at 5k and above, $4500, best $4500 ever spenton a phazer, took a dog of a sled to a kick #*$&@ mtn/boondocking machine. would i do it again, yes especially since I paid 6k for the complete sled with boost, 153 track, and less than 800 miles.

Well if you have only 6k into the whole thing then I would say the $4500 for boost was a bargain! Was it already fitted with the goodies?

Why would elevation make a difference on whether or not to use low comp pistons?

Sorry for all the questions but this is something I would really like to do but am concerned with reliability.

The lower elevation the more boost the sled makes with the same setup, thus causing detonation, I believe 5lbs of boost at 10k ends up being around 11lbs at sea level, a head shim will help with this problem but also casuses lag off the bottom, call darrin or mac at MPI they are super help and can help you get setup right,. no worries about the questions glad to help. Scott and yes the sled had all the goodies.

someone know some brand of 13.5:1 piston or more agressive cam

Can I install yz250f piston?
