Hi guys, I need to change the upper A-arm bushings on my wife’s ‘08 Phazer.
Before I drill out any body panel rivets or remove more than I have to, can anyone tell me if I’ll be able to access the inside nuts of the upper A-arms by just removing the front rectangular/box shaped plastic cover directly underneath in the front?

Tie rod rubber boots. Gently pry those plastic push pins and you can get to the nuts.

X2! Just did it last night.

I think you guys must have smaller hands/fingers than I lol.
If I manage to get the bolts out I doubt I’ll be able to get the nuts back on afterwards by accessing only through the steering rod space.
Really wish it were the bottom A-arms I needed to change. Really easy to get at those with the boot off.
I’m going to let the steering rod go from the ski leg, maybe get my fingers in there better that way.

A deep socket with a piece of paper holding the nut into it, or take airbox off and go from above.

Yeah I think I’m going to take the air box off.

The thin undersized Phazer bushings is just one of the reasons the front end needs upgrading.

The power steering on my Venture TF has me totally spoiled now going into my 2nd winter with it. Everything else I ride feels like the steering is duct taped together angle-iron. Stiff, turning, loose/sloppy linkages and darting side to side. Makes me feel guilty that my wife has the harder to control sled than I do.

Had my air box off tonight. It’s still a tight squeeze. Kleenex or paper towel to hold but in deep socket your best bet.
