This is the Pivot I always talk of. Years ago after repeated failure of stock suspension and the link Yamaha updated my suspension then the Pivot shaft supplied in the Update also bent pulling the bolts right through the rails. I then restraightened the shaft and installed OilLite Bushing in the whole pivot. I am happy to say thousands of miles and lots of air later this was a complete success. I got the bushings from ACE Hardware if memory serves me OD was perfect and I had to cut ID to size in Lathe. I highly recommend doing this and I bet many are bent in your sleds if not done like this. Is easy to check by rolling the shaft or with a straightenge like shown.

The wheels on that Pivot are not feeling good so will replace them with the new spoked wheels Yamaha has with replaceable bearings. My Buddy Berge75 is TIG welding up the front arm and reinforcing so will run that vs new. He also did me favor of installing bronze bushings on the Upper front arm Aluminum shaft that was wore so that will be better than new. Once thats done the Phazer will be put back together. With new Driveshaft bearings aligned, tensioned and should be good for many more years! Seeing the light now and it really was a Team effort to get the Phazer to the sled it is. Viper will have some big shoes to fill and if I feel it cant I will be very happy to hop back on my Phazer. Most find that hard to believe but it is the truth and those who ride with me or have ridden the Phazer know what I am talking about. Damn Fun Sled!

Hey Cannondale, I read a post a while back that mentioned you had a power commander on your Phazer. Where did you find a map? I run one on my FZ1 bike and liked the performance gain. How did it work for you on the Phazer?
Ulmer Racing gave me the map I am running now. When I was modded it was absolutely necessary. Now I am stock and it isnt doing much if anything.
Was up till 3:30 getting it all done. Just need to do alignments of skis bars and track. Now need a battery since I broke positive terminal when I tightened it. Glad I did all this since was many bearings and such just wore or bad. Pics later.
Here is how I do alignment. Chalk String lined up with track. If you do it right should be 14in between lines at skiis. Do Toe FIRST. Dont worry much about bar alignment. We have that nice adjustable rod to famous DogBone to change that.

That chalk line idea is pure genius. I messed around with a couple of 2x4's and was not very satisfied with that method.
Thanx for the idea!
