Hey everybody,
I was wondering where I should start on upgrades for my 2007 stock phazer gt. I was looking into getting a dual exhaust from schmidt brothers and also getting cold air intake modules. Also does anyone know about the anti-bottoming kit and if it works. I am wondering about the 4th wheel kit too as well as a tunnel closer kit. Please let me know what you all think. Oh ya and also I am looking to replace the shocks probably starting with the rear shock first, any ideas?

look for a set of shocks off a rtx or fx and then get them revalved. unless urs can be revalved which ive been told they cant. that would be my first step. then tunnel closure. u can get the metal from a local shop for around 10-15 bucks. anti botoming kit isnt worth it in my opnion. only saves u maybe 20% of the time and revalved shocks will save u 90% of the time.

1- turf the windshield
2- hand guards
3- Radiator guard
4- mountain bar
5- rear shocks, front ones should be rebuildable the skid shock replace with FX shocks
6- tunnel close like terret said
If i were you I wouldn't put an exhaust, these litte creeps are freeking loud, I had an FMF slip on pipe on mine and it was ridiculus, had to change back to the stocker. as far as the tunnel closure goes a sheet of aluminium cut to size and 6-8 pop rivets should do the job. I'd also look at relocating the guage pod. someone on here has a tutorial for using the stock bracket for this. In my opinion the forth wheel kit is useless unless you're coming down on the rear axle alot or hitting some really nasty terrain.

Anti bottoming kit works great. Can't go wrong with it.

Hygear has the bottoming kit for $34.99 http://www.hygearsuspension.com/yamsnow_phazer.html
Upgraded coupler blocks are available from http://www.hiperf.com/ for $37.95.
You'll also want to become familiar with your sway bar adjustment which will only cost you a download and a printed page. http://www.ty4stroke.com/viewtopic.php?t=60863
And don't forget the clutch kit, this one works really well http://www.ty4stroke.com/viewtopic.php?t=33792

Stock gauge pod , flip
Ryno the stock mount flip was me , it is pretty easy , take you gauge cluster off your sled set it aside , on the side that has an eith inch piece of wire you cut a 3 in piece 1/4 wide ,then use a file to smooth it out . Test fit it a cople times . If you have a grinder that would make it faster . Grab the fufu can and give it some rust oleum flip it upside down ,remount it works great and looks awsome , down fall is you cant use a windshield bag but you also dont have that god ugly gauge stickin out . I have a picture I can send .

check the classifieds here for a set of used shocks. also check with any sled salvage yards u can find. the front track shock you may find a shock that will fit. as for the rear it might be harded. the rear track shock is realy long compaired to any other shock ive seen. closest i could think of would be a polaris edge suspention.

Center shock is same dimensions as a Viper center shock. So ask around there are alot of them around since Vipers got free shock replacements way back.

I would call them coupler blocks. They actually replace the 3-position torsion spring blocks on the rear swing arm. They are a 4-position billet aluminum block. The part number is 210-510 if you go into snowmobile products and then do a search it should come up.

Hello, I was wondering what year viper center shocks will fit the phazer? Do you know if Hygear or other suspension companies will know how to valve them for the Phazer? Can the shock be used in it's stock form, or does if have to be valved for the phazer?
Thanks!

Since someone mentioned the viper center shock, are the fronts interchangable? My buddy smoked his last year and is getting rid of it. If the shocks would work....My luck, probably not.
