Phil Serra lays down 4.49@120mph at the Top Gun Shootout !

Congrats, great racing :)

The world record is 4.34 at 120mph set at hastings 2 weeks ago on the D and D boondocker firecat turbo 1200. This sled has gone undefeated this year in the grass. I was not able to make it to tillbury with this "my" sled so it has not been taken down yet. D and D did run a new f1000 turbo at tillbury. No king of the trail crowned at tillbury due to darkness.

You have to give Glenn Hall credit for what he has done with the F1200 Turbo sled. He has done what the "nay sayers" said couldn't be done on the 2-stroke in a forced induction application. It's also clear that this sled may be a sore subject for some. However, this sled is in its relatively early stages of tune, still for being only on tar and grass for 5 months or so many have fallen to it. I'm sure over time Glenn will be putting the twist on the boost controller for that extra mph/et!

Baypoint , I was just repeating what Chris Bedard (COSDRA) said last night to Phil , that he holds the record and there was something in question to your F1200 when it made that pass. if there was a mistake in what he said I appoligize , There's No doubt in anyones mind that Glenn Hall is a very talented guy that continues to raise the bar ! ;)!

Phil's sled is pristine! Record or not it showed VERY well.

From What I'm Told Chris "cosdra" Has said Glens record will not stand. The Question is the Fuel tank Glenn ran on the Firecat. It's a lightweight tank. It wouldn't have mattered if he had a full size tank and 2 more gallons of fuel it would have run a high 4.3 to a very low 4.4 at over 120. There was also some question to the travel of the rear skid. Glen Stated to me that it had the required amount of travel contrary to what some people have claimed!!!

The new f12 they ran at the Top Gun Shoot out is a true Trail sled with a turbo on it. It's got no Lightweight parts other then a new set of Handle bars. It's heavy to say the least. Glen had some issue on Saturday with it but they worked it out during the races on Sunday and it ran a 4.5 and lost to Phil's sled by .06 of a second. In a semi final heat. It was clearly the second quickest "King of the trail sled " there.

Phil has made a huge jump from 4.73 to 4.49. It was his first race and it's only going to get faster. Great job Phil.

Nothing in question with my sled just talked to Kris. We have the record of 4.34 at 120mph. The sled made lots of passes on the grass with the worst full pass of 4.48 and best of 4.34 all season long. Can't wait to see all these fast sleds out on the snow for the winter King of the trail it should be a fun season.

What needs to happen is Chris need to state online who is the record holder. Because he's telling one group one thing and the other group another thing.
