picked up my sled from the dealer?

i dropped it off cause the starter wouldnt work.

they ended up fixing my manifolds, and changing my oil under warranty.

i start my sled and its the same noise. i have the salesman listen to a good one then mine, he said it sounds bad but you have a extended warranty so ride it????????????????

i asked if they tightened it and he said you have to rip the sled apart? i thought that why i was without my sled for two weeks?

but he did say they were coming out with a 120hp phazr based sled and a 178hp nytro based sled to replace the apex, exciter and enticer are the names.
 
Hmmmm....Interesting. I called my dealer to see if mine was done and the response makes me nervous. I'll find out this week as to what was done when I pick it up. As for them having yours for 2 weeks and not sure if they tightend/fixed the starter...What do you do ??
 
ride it break down on the trail i would imagine?
i have a warranty?it guarantees im gonna break down cause they dont want to fix? imo
 
Hmmm a new exciter? my best friend has the old 1988. Way ahead of its time i think, GREAT power for the age. I think around 88 it has? 12k and no rebuilds, not a scratch
 
sure that all that talk about the exciter aint just rumors? will they come 2010 he said? i've been thinkin alot about turbo at my phazer becouse the engine is abit to weak. But its still to much problems with the turbos at the phazers at the moment. But i do want to keep my phazer becouse i realy love the sled in everything else. But if this exciter comes, it whould be the dream to have one of those :moon:
 
Who knows its hearsay, right now but i think they need somethin in the 120 class to really compete. Theres too many guys on 6 and 700's that wont go down to 80 hp imo. I came off a 800 mod so at first i was sad, then snow came and i had all the fun i could handle for 20 bucks woke up the next day and wasnt sore so i did it again lol. Now its a reliability issue, oh and for an update my sled is at the dealer once again, starter and ball joints again, they just aligned it and didnt see it. good mechanics they have.
 
my starter took a crap about two weeks ago. the bolts came loose and it twisted. the dealer said the starter costs about $400 and they had to take the motor almost a the way out to change it at $100 an hour labor. I am glad I have an extended warranty.
 
Your dealer is misinformed.Two ways to get starter out.You can take front of sled off (2-3hrs) or You can remove a motor mount or two and tilt engine enough to get it out.
 
All the phazers have the same motor and starter so they are all effected. I think the '09 sleds got an updated starter that won't come apart but both the previous years are effected.
