Picking up a FX on Monday. Coming from a 2000 MXZ 600 what differences can I expect.

your pretty much starting over, except for the throttle right, brake left thing lol
you will have to post after riding the FX what the differences are as you see them

I agree with the above posts, pretty much night and day difference and we'll be interested to read your impressions.
For what it's worth, that 2000 Doo you're coming off was a real nice sled in its day. I think your biggest transition will be with the seating position coming off a pure 'old school' riding position machine. It won't be too bad if you're used to riding bikes or ATV's but it still takes a little seat time to get used to the way it handles.
Once you're comfortable, you'll be jumping driveway approaches and grinning from ear to ear.

I came of mzx 600. Had it from new and it was a great sled. Riding position is the biggest difference. As another post says you will be looking for thinks to jump the FX off of as it is a totally different ride. As for power up to 60mph I think the phazer pulls as hard and is very responsive. Above 60mph you start to miss the 28hp difference. It all depends on what kind of riding you like. I wouldn't go back I am having a ball on the FX
