Are any of you guys running the pickle protector on your viper? If so what do you think of it. Is it worth the money or is there a better aftermarket skid plate?

I don't, but probably wouldn't since it only covers chain case. OEM rear skid plate provides protection for everything, and is pretty beefy. For the cost, I'd look for something that does a little more than just the chain case.
Just my opinion.

I have seen them and will be running them on both our Vipers it is a thing of beauty. We are also a dealer for this.
I don't think many of us have seen or heard of this one?
I have the full skid plate on mine and it covers well. The only thing I may have changed is when I cut out for the oil filter access I left the thing strip to the rear. In hindsight I probably should have just added that strip to the removable cutout section.

With the oil drain I wish I just would have put a 1 in hole or so rather than cutting it out.
How would you get the filter through a 1" hole?
Oh I thought you were talking about the footwell

For whatever it's worth, I went with the OEM front ($62) and rear ($155) skid plates and I am happy with how beefy they are as well as how they look. The Pickle Protector looks really good and I am sure that being made of billet aluminum it will do the job, but for the money I would rather protect the whole undercarriage of my sled. I did drill some water drain holes in in for when things melt but didn't bother with the cut outs for the oil change since it will be coming off at the end of the season for the oil change *and* to clean up any crud that may get in there.
