Had I not read this forum I would not have known the Viper we bought had a radiator protector shipped with it but not installed by the dealer. Presumably this is because you have to remove the hood to install it. How many others Viper did not get this protector installed?

Is it like a frog mesh?

I don't think mine came with it

Plastic cover over radiator, can someone post pic as my Viper does not have it.

It a steel "grate" that covers the radiator. It's held on by 4 screws into the sides. You do need to remove the hood to install it, also to fill the radiator as most I've seen were low on antifreeze from the factory. You can see this grate thru the slats in the hood, covers the entire radiator.

Mine was installed by the dealer during initial setup.

Little bit of topic but even with the gard installed my rad still got some decent dings in it from other sleds kicked up snow/ice. Is anyone working on a better version of one, because I'll gladly spend the $ for a new one that actually works. Something like frogskins would be nice.

I checked mine this weekend, my guard is on there.

Painted mine white...

Cool!

I was thinking about doing mine like that also
