is there a snowmobile show this weekend? if so, where?

Milwaukee. Just type in wisconsin snowmobile show on google. Or try milwaukee snowmobile show. On my way there now otherwise I would post the link.

I see it now...wonder if this can be mounted in other locations (like at the curve)

This kit CAN NOT mount any other place than on a 136" MONO on the part with the extra bracing its been designed to fit and align between the track cogs for that specific area if you want to mount in any other area with NO BRACING directly to the main rail you MUST use kit # SMA-8FA95-00-00 now this is CANADIAN so I'm not sure if its the same part #

here's a link http://yamaha-motor.ca/accessories/acce ... model=2847

I mounted mine on the outside and have 1800+ miles with no trouble. Bearings and wheels still look like new. Mounting wheels at the curve voids warrenty as drilling holes is a warrenty no~no. I never thought to mount them on the inside, I mounted them per the directions...

You can mount them in or out...I find by having them in looks better and I also notice more wear on HYFAX on the inside part so this is why I decided to mount them in to try to even out wear...

Having them on the inside will provide better traction with studs as the track will not flex as much in that location and drive the studs into the ice/hard snow more.

You'll probably hook up better with these in I would think.

1) are those the narrow slides?

No I only use WIDE ones...I find with the narrow ones that I get a lot of TRACK movement, side to side 'cause of the guide clips being farther away from the HYFAX and was causing some idler damage due to track getting out of line...it puts extra stress on IDLERS specialy the rear inner ones.

I added the Doo idlers and mounting blocks and they solve any premature hyfax wear. I also added an extra set in front of the rear wheels. I used the narrow slides and they seem to let more snow in the skid and don't seem to ad any more track movement from my experience.

I like the DOO wheel set-up I was going to go that way t'ill my dealer told me that once you drill or modify your rails or suspension you VOID warranty! unless its a YAM approved OEM part. :dunno:

cant find them

Where do i find these "new wheels with brackets" , i only find the wheel with no brackets. already have one set of wheels in front . but would like a pair of wheels with the brackets in the middle of a 136 skid.

can anyone give a link?
