I'm looking to ditch the tuners off my '15 STX-DX 141" and am wondering which ski would be a better all purpose upgrade and what parts do I need aside from the skis will I need to install them.... Anyone tried both? Which do you prefer and why? Thanks in advance.

Do a search in this forum, theres tons of info already here. Cat single keel skis with Snotrackers are amazing on this chassis.

Thanks but that is the trouble, both of these skis have a lot of support on this forum. Thought a straight up versus thread might help with my decision.. or to hear from guys that have ran both.

All I can say is I ditched those deadly tuners and put the cat skis.im a lot happier now but cant comment on the pilots

Thanks. Which model cat skis did you get and which carbides are you using?

Got the cat skis from a zr9000 and I'm running cat 6 in dual carbides.

Never tried the Pilots, but I have been very happy with the Cat skis and Snow Trackers. If you do any off trail riding, you will want the AC skis from the 2014 Yamaha XTX, or the AC equivalent. If you’re just trail riding you might want to try Snow Trackers made for your Tuners. I have them on my new Sidewinder LTX and I am very happy with them.
