I use the Doo skis on the Winder. Work excellent! 6.9's and the 5.7R single keel race skis both.

I use the 6.9 on my XTX, no darting, steers easy and sled goes where you want it to go

I use the pilot 5.7’s on my 18 RTX and love them.

I did a massive thread on the Pilots.....Maybe its time to bring that thread TTT so the new guys can take a Gander....By far and away the most popular ski to improve the Winder IMO. Either 6.9 or 5.7's.

This makes me curious. When i was a skidoo guy I wasn't a fan of them. Ran shaper bars and needed a ton of ski pressure to get them to turn as aggressive as I wanted. Now I see all of you running them and liking them on this chassis. I might have to steal a set off of my buddies spare sled and give them a shot. I can tell you they would have to be pretty impressive to get me away from my curves. Best ski I've run in anything so far.

I would agree that we needed a lot of ski pressure with them on the Doo to make them turn, and in doing that they steered very hard on the Doo also, for me they required Aggressive Snowtrackers to make them steer easier, not dart and go where pointed on the Doo.
On the Winder, they just plain work no matter what carbide is on them it seems. They fit the bill for a great ski on the Winder. Another nice thing is they are cheap compared to other skis.
I have a buddy with the Curves and after swapping sleds with other Winder owners with other skis, he says the Curves are big-time overrated and actually steer harder with the winder.

Winder is a big chassis and a heavy up front sled compared to a lot of DOO’s, probably why the pilots work so well, even compared to how they work on some of the ski DOO sleds???
Had them on my Apex too and they worked great on that as well(again big heavy front end on the Apex as well)...are we seeing a theme here lol????

If you like Curves on the winder, you will hate Pilots. Not for aggressive carving IMO. Pilots are the best overall ski IMO for lightest effort, anti-darting and price......They can be setup with the biggest carbide(7.5") and still be light. For 90% of riders they work well. I ride tight and twistys here and love them. This makes me curious. When i was a skidoo guy I wasn't a fan of them. Curves are much much heavier effort, and I did not like them at all.
