Busch aluminum super shine I think it's called is a product that some other forum members have used with what looks like good results. I haven't used it myself yet but would like to try a bottle. Just can't find it in Canada at any retailers. Shipping is a bit of a pain. That's the only reason I haven't tried it yet.

Mothers Mag Polish and the power cone work decent if your tunnel isn't already scratched up.

X2 on the search. Someone posted detail instructions last year. But beware there is a lot of reading. Good luck with the polishing.

If I remember correctly, didn't they go all out with sanding as well?
I used to use Mother Aluminum Polish on my old sled but noticed it would leave very fine scratches if not done correctly.
Good luck!

If you are looking for a perfect mirror finish, you will be interested in wet sanding followed by polishing with Mothers Billet Polish. Mothers Mag & Alu Polish and the Busch stuff is too aggressive for a perfect mirror finish.

X2. Wet sand with 1000 grit wet o dry paper, then wet sand again with 1500, and lastly with 2000 availible at any auto parts store. Lots of water to rinse awayt all the exess metal tpo prevent scratches. Billet polish is best, i borrowed a bit to test from a friend of mine cuz its more expensive than the mag and alum polish, but it works 10x better so its worth it. Redoing mine this summer with billet polish should get to the mirror shine im looking for... takes a good weekend to do it right...Alatalo said:If you are looking for a perfect mirror finish, you will be interested in wet sanding followed by polishing with Mothers Billet Polish. mothers aluminum and mag polish. bought it at canadian tire. Takes a lot of elbow grease but once done it is easy to touch up. Wet sanding with 2000 grit then polishing turned out even better on my apex

Depends on how you define a 'mirror effect'. If you can live with some very small scratches that you can't see from more than 6 feet away there are tons of tools and products that will get you there quickly. If you want the true mirror finish roll up your sleeves and start sanding.

Mothers Billet Shine produces a very good mirror like shine. This summer I think I am going to try Wet Sanding the tunnel.

Man just sounds like to much work.....I would rather ride than sand and rub on it for 3 days....

Watch this video, it's not that hard. I didn't sand mine and it looks much better than it did- plus now it will take less time every year to bring it back.

Mothers power ball to start then go by hand with billet polish. Seal with shine seal. If you really want the mirror wet sand first
